Last weekend Brandon and I took a long awaited breather back to San Francisco and Berkeley (Bizerkeley as Brandon's dad calls it-which is often an apt description). We haven't been back since we drove from there to Portland Oregon after Brandon's graduation. This is going to blow you away but that means it has been 5 years. Almost to the day. Yikes time flies.
We had a great time visiting places neither of us had spent a lot or any time at all doing. The highlights were...going to the famed hippie central of the Haight Ashbury District. Now a little less hippie and a little more yuppie.
Another visit we made was to Golden Gate Park. It is a giant beautiful park on the West side of the city. We walked about one third of the way through it and we were exhausted. This is a picture of us at the Japanese Tea Garden within the park. I'm on the phone checking on my daughter. Lacey.
can you blame me?
Anyway another highlight was we rented some bikes and rode from Fisherman's Wharf and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge over to the beautiful town of Sausolito

It was cold! 80 degrees inland and 50 on the bridge!
Then of course the main reason for visiting a place we have been to a lot is going to the places we liked to eat when we were there together.

Best Pizza Ever!
Many Coffee Runs....MANY
Lots of BART trips

Brandon's old place in Berkeley (Bottom floor & it was red then)
Fat Apples - Brandon's favorite is the Almond Danish with Breakfast.
Good Times!

I love all the pics! It looks like you had a great time. So, was that the apartment/house where the rat ran over your FOOT?
