Deal with it » Some Utahns just can't get over a Democrat being president.
An anonymous group is protesting an electronic sign at Mueller Park Junior High School in Bountiful because its recent messages contained quotes from President Barack Obama.
The sign, which also advertises events and achievements at the school, cost Davis School District about $20,000. It has quoted several famous people, including George W. Bush. But there was no protest until Obama's quotes appeared.
"Many of us Bountiful residents are perplexed by the President Obama commercial on [the sign]," said an anonymous letter addressed to Superintendent Bryan Bowles. "Quotes from current and active politicians should stand the test of time before they are used."
The protestors apparently didn't mind the use of Bush's quotes while he was still president.
can't we all just get along.
